My father often lived in fear.
Of failure. Of success.
Of what people thought.
At some point,
during the journey of life,
I told my father that
I will not live in fear.
And I don’t.

Such a powerful piece with a very resolute, firm ending and message. 👏👏👏

A true summarization of many conversations my father and I had on living in fear. I could write a novel. Thanks for taking notice of this and hope you’re well.

Good for you. We have no control over so many things. I am grateful that you not only told your dad but didn’t let his ways hold you prisoner either. Profound words though few.

While I love and miss him, I couldn’t let his fear obstruct my path. That wasn’t an option for me.
