A slight clarification and a blobityblip

“I woke up in a bedroom not mine.”

buahha…Megan read that and said, “It sounds like you were in a bedroom you shouldn’t have been in.”

Let me clarify, for anyone who may have had a, WTH moment of thought, concerning this line. A bedroom not mine, was actually, our spare bedroom. I was so clogged up from the cold that I kept Megan awake the previous night. So! After the Celtics lost, out of consideration for Megan’s sleeping needs, I slept in the spare bedroom where I could cough all night without disturbing Megan 🙂 There you have it. I just like to play with words and ‘I slept in a bedroom not my own’ was much more entertaining for me to write rather than a standard line of blobityblip.

I hope everyone is ready for the weekend!

Hello WordPress World!

Good morning, evening, or day! Depending on where you’re currently sitting.

I’m having a great morning and wanted to spread the feeling to anyone who stumbles upon this post.

And just in case you might need a bit of a pick-me-up, here’s this:

  1. You kick ass as you.
  2. You don’t need permission.
  3. You are loved.
  4. You are strong.
  5. You’re one step away from the next.
  6. Look up, the sky sees you, you are never alone.
  7. Close your eyes. See it. Get it.

Cheers, everyone!

Matt

Smile

Uplifting words from a four year old:

“Bless you, Daddy.”

I sneezed upstairs while in my office. Gavin was downstairs. Hearing his raised voice to offer comfort for something out of his control was, indeed, uplifting. It’s the small things I let direct me.

Cheers everyone.

Odd Walking Thoughts

It’s all fine. Until it’s not. Although, from a child’s point of view it’s possibly only about sticks and stones and how far will this jump take them over the brook. Landing midway, a smile breaks out from underneath the learned hardness, as if the smile were welcoming themselves home again. This is you. With the water streaming around your small legs, yet to grow into adulthood because this is you; a child wearing a smile standing in a brook after having jumped directly into the middle without a care. And all of the trees waved in the wind.

poem

One of the most beautiful moments of humanity
that I’ve witnessed was viewed from a window
in a town that was not my own. And there I sat-
watching people I do not know gifting gracious
smiles to one another while walking through
the small town square during a snow storm.

Odd Walking Thoughts

She trampled and ran along feeling tall ferns; green and narrow at the tops, sending her palms into realization of being. She smiled as she ran. Her mother asked that she not run to the brook, but that’s where she was going and where she was now. “Go on little thought and be what you were before.” She said to the babbling water. A frog hopped near and asked, “What was it, it was not now, before?” She picked a yellow flower, placed it near the frog to enjoy, turned and said her hello while walking away.

poem-

the hat
the coin
Headline lead
pants unbuttoned
smiling
It’s all misleading
What creation are you
I is the self that self creates
alone and along with the ride
