That’s the thing about ‘Having a Day.’
You gotta get up and make it happen!
Or-
Maybe you’ll lay flat on your back
writing poems with your thumbs
on your cell phone until noon.
That’s the thing about your day.
It’s what what you make of it
and how you feel about it.
Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

Ha! I love the seemingly unintentional sensibility.

😊 all your poems are amazing! I’ve told you this before, but you really are among my very favorite poets living or dead. You’ve got a way of distilling a feeling, a moment, or capturing the essence of a place or idea like very few.

Have you ever thought about publishing an anthology of your poetry?

I have considered it. Self publishing can be a bit of a trap (did it with one of my stories) but am still considering… 🧐
