The great thing about honesty is that is never changes.

We skip rocks
over our memories-
Our blood rippled
As one rock settled into
A hidden otherness
-M. Taggart
Slipping droplets between my lips
I pushed grotesque from the door
Fixedly- It moves
Knowing it’s not always always

I used to read books
While walking the UMASS campus
in Amherst, Massachusetts
I’d walk and read
and maneuver through crowds
Going from class to class
then back to the parking lot
Sometimes it was so windy
I couldn’t hold the book open
And one time
a tall, beautiful girl, kissed me
Flat out kissed me because I was reading a book
I guess
I’m not entirely sure
I didn’t ask her
I kept walking
It was a simple thing
I suppose it was an odd thing
but it was a nice thing

Sometimes the world crumbles
And forces us to watch
-M. Taggart
What a beautifully fucked up life this game is. -M. Taggart
My two year old
Walked up to me
Grabbed my
Pointer finger
Lead me
To the couch-
Pushed me onto it
Crawled into my lap
Pointed at the TV
And said
“Boss Baby. Peez. Yea?”
“Okayyy. We can watch Boss Baby.”
I loved this
I love him

I don’t give up on people
i don’t know how
– Me
I think words are sexy
And that knowing how to use them well
Is a gift
A sexy gift
-M. Taggart
Please God
Let me get these words right
We all have a life worth living
There is no you when you are gone
Not from that
